Health conditions prior to joining the program: Sleep apnea, lower back pain.

What was your lifestyle like prior to joining the program?
I was not as active, and had to take more breaks.

How has your life changed since joining the program?
I am able to do more activities with others and not get so tired and sore.

What healthy changes have you made to your life?
I eat cleaner, more often, and my relationship with food has changed. After surgery, you cannot be closed-minded about your food choices. Your taste buds change more than you think! After surgery, I like ginger, papaya and beets, which I did not like before surgery.

What would you tell someone who is considering joining the program?
You have to want to lose the weight for yourself, not anyone else. Take your journey one day at a time, and don’t be so hard on yourself. Be your own best friend – you deserve it.
