Hawaii Pacific Health Employees Donate More Than $1 Million to Fund Company's Philanthropic Mission
Hawaii Pacific Health employees showed their giving power by donating their own money to help patients and patient families by raising a record $1,070,115 for the 2018 Employee Giving Campaign. This is the second straight year that Hawaii Pacific Health has surpassed the $1 million mark. The total raised was collected over a one-month period through personal gifts and pledges by more than 4,000 staff members.
Hawaii Pacific Health Announces Inaugural High School Partners for Innovative Medical Assistant Training Program
Hawaii Pacific Health has partnered with Kapiolani Community College and five local public high schools to create the Hawaii Pacific Health Medical Assistant Training Program. The unique partnership, believed to be the only one of its kind in the country, is a joint program between Hawaii Pacific Health and the local high schools to create a curriculum for high school juniors and seniors to prepare them for a career as a medical assistant in the health care industry.

Wilcox Health celebrates its 10th annual Kids Summer Fest to promote safe and healthy summer fun for Kauai keiki and their families on Saturday, June 17, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kauai Marriot Resort. The annual event features interactive health and wellness activities, free sports physicals for children ages 5 to 18 (first-come, first-served), and free giveaways of bicycles, helmets and other great prizes.

Hawaii Pacific Health was recently named a recipient of the HIMSS Enterprise Davies Award, which recognizes outstanding achievement in health information technology. Established in 1994, the Davies Awards program promotes electronic health record-enabled improvement in patient outcomes through sharing of case studies and lessons learned across a wide range of efforts.
