If you are a patient, family member or friend of a patient, a hospital chaplain is available to provide for your emotional and spiritual needs. Our Spiritual Care Services help families observe their own faith practices and express their spirituality, providing patients and families with spiritual care as they cope with their experience at our medical center. Through these services, we provide encouragement and care for grieving families and individuals who are experiencing a crisis, as well as offer support to our medical center staff and employees in providing quality care.

Kapiolani's Chapels
We have two chapels on site that are always open. One of our chapels is located on the second floor of the main medical center adjacent to the pediatric units. The other is located on the second floor of the Diamond Head Tower adjacent to the coffee counter. The chapels are open to people of every faith who seek spiritual refuge or are in need of a place for prayer, meditation or reflection. The chapels serve as sanctuaries where patients, families and visitors can find solace, peace and comfort – places where a person can reflect on their loved one’s well-being and offer gratitude for life.

Straub's Healing Garden
Those looking for a quiet space for reflection, prayer or meditation are welcome to visit the Healing Garden at Straub. It is located next to the Palma building off of the rotunda. The garden is always open.

An interfaith chapel is located in the first-floor lobby of the medical center next to the elevators.
