Biography
Anna-Lena Lueker, MD, attended medical school at the University of Wurzburg, Germany, returning to Hawai’i to complete her pediatric residency training and chief residency year at the Hawai’i Residency Program, as well as a fellowship in medical education at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawai’i. Since graduating in 2016, she has been working as a pediatric hospitalist and L&D hospitalist at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women & Children and is a Clinical Professor in Pediatrics at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, University of Hawaii. Having grown up in Hawai’i, she has always been fascinated by cultural diversity and its effects on medical decision making around the world. In this capacity, she has spent time working abroad and also co-directs the Global Health rotation for pediatric residents. Anna has always been passionate about medical education and, in addition to co-directing the educational rotation for pediatric residents, she also co-directs Pediatric ECHO Hawai’i which provides tele-education across the Hawaiian and greater Pacific Islands.
