APHON-Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course

PROGRAM GENERAL INFORMATION:
The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course provides a comprehensive review of the knowledge needed to administer cytotoxic and biotherapeutic agents.

This program establishes education and practice standards for the administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy to children and adolescents.
It promotes consistent practices in the administration of chemotherapy and biotherapy to pediatric and adolescent patients.

This two-day program will held on:

DAY ONE: Thursday, July 30, 2026
7:00am - 3:30pm
Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children (KMCWC)
Diamond Head Tower (DHT), Conference Rooms 6 & 7

DAY TWO: Thursday, August 6, 2026
7:00am - 3:30pm
Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children (KMCWC)
Diamond Head Tower (DHT), Conference Rooms 6 & 7

Participants must be licensed registered nurses. This course content is appropriate for nurses who are new to pediatric and adolescent chemotherapy and biotherapy administration, as well as for those who want a comprehensive review.


CONTINUING EDUCATION (NOT provided by Hawai'i Pacific Health):
The Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Participants will be awarded 14 CNE contact hours upon completion of the course, post-test and evaluation. Active providers auditing the course as a refresher will be awarded 14 CNE contact hours upon completion of the course and evaluation.

Registration Fee for Non-HPH: $550
• Includes course textbook and parking validation for non-Hawai‘i Pacific Health attendees.

The APHON Pediatric Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course is NOT a certification course and is not intended to measure competency. Individual institutions are responsible for determining their own requirements for assessing clinical competency.
