OFFERING INFORMATION:
Introducing a video, discussion and teaching series focused on working with individuals with serious and terminal illness. The (RSS) regularly scheduled series' classes are based on Dr. Aoki' teachings and work.
This regularly scheduled series is intended for healthcare professionals and healthcare support staff/volunteers. However, adult community family members are also welcomed to attend.

OBJECTIVES:
1. Manage awareness about death and dying and become more comfortable with assisting others during this time of life.
2. Implement various skills and methods used to help and support someone who is facing the end-of-life.
3. Identify the importance of rituals and traditions in the grief process.
4. Engage with the multi-disciplinary healthcare and community teams to identify methods and techniques to assist a person with accessing resources in order to live during their dying.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Hawai‘i Pacific Health and the Mits Aoki Legacy Foundation. Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ for physicians. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
