OFFERING INFORMATION:

COVID has increased everyone's stress level. In cancer care, it is Stress Level: Extreme! This conference will discuss the various stressors for cancer patients and cancer nurses. But it will focus on the resilience of patients and providers finding hope in the future.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Manage care for patients experiencing side effects from radiation treatment.
2. Incorporate exercises into treatment that promote health in cancer patients.
3. Identify the factors that increase stress levels of oncology healthcare providers.
4. Remove barriers to behavioral health services for cancer patients in Hawai‘i.
5. As a healthcare team, provide for the wellbeing of oncology care providers.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Hawai‘i Pacific Health (HPH) and Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Hawai‘i (O‘ahu) Chapter. Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for 8.25 contact hours for nurses. Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Hawai‘i Pacific Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education and this activity is accredited for 8.25 contact hours for attendance at the entire CE session.
