OFFERING INFORMATION:
This is a beginner EKG interpretation class for nurses. We do permit non-nursing roles to attend; however, please understand that a basic knowledge of the cardiovascular system, basic anatomy and cardiac disease processes are necessary for successful completion.


OBJECTIVES:
1. Examine the cardiac cycle.
2. Identify the elements of a cardiac telemetry rhythm.
3. Interpret normal sinus rhythm.
4. Interpret abnormal cardiac rhythms.
5. Examine the physiology of myocardial ischemia.


CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.5 contact hours for nurses.


REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
HPH Employees: Please register in HLC. There is no cost for HPH Employees.

Non-HPH: Cost is $40. Please register below.


DAY OF CLASS:
Class is held at 793 South Hotel Street on the 2nd Floor, Classroom 202.
Parking is not provided. We recommend you park at the Blaisdell Center ($8 per day) or find street parking that is NOT metered.
