OFFERING INFORMATION:
This offering will help prepare Wilcox Medical Center’s Nurses and Physicians for the critical, high-risk, low-volume emergencies with antepartum and intrapartum patients on Kaua‘i.
This simulation will provide an opportunity for the inter-professional team to practice providing complex obstetrical care and managing obstetrical emergencies.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify obstetrical emergencies.
2. Integrate appropriate treatment of obstetrical emergencies.
3. Demonstrate closed loop team inter-professional communication.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
