Building Community Trust to Increase COVID19 Vaccination

OFFERING INFORMATION:
This offering will address vaccine hesitancy so that we can reach herd immunity.


OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify barriers to building community trust in COVID 19 vaccination.
2. Incorporate, as a team, evidenced-based research and talking points with patients, to increase community trust in obtaining COVID vaccinations.
3. Describe ways to reach out to Hawaii's at-risk populations to promote vaccination.


CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Hawai‘i Pacific Health and the Hawai‘i Immunization Coalition. Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits ™ for physicians. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for 1.0 contact hours for nurses. Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education and this activity is accredited for 1.0 contact hours for attendance at the entire CE session.

As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. State and provincial regulatory boards have the final authority to determine whether an individual course may be accepted for continuing education credit.
