OFFERING INFORMATION:
Pediatric physicians and nurses are faced with constantly evolving evidence-based practices and standards of care. There is a gap in clinical knowledge, research and reasoning when it comes to the issue of Patient Safety and Quality Improvement. This offering will address these gaps.


OFFERING OBJECTIVES:
1. Examine patient safety incidents and care quality.
2. Evaluate medical literature relevant to evidence-based care of pediatric patients.
3. Examine individual statistics and how they can have a positive impact on pediatric hospital medicine.
4. Identify the impact of teamwork on patient-centered practice and patient safety.


CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
