OFFERING INFORMATION:
This offering provides an oncology overview for nurses and pharmacists who are new to the oncology specialty.

This offering is available to Hawai‘i Pacific Health (HPH) colleagues and credentialed physicians only.


OBJECTIVES:
1. Outline the diagnosis and manage the treatment for the various types of cancers.
2. Identify types of cancers seen in the AYA population.
3. Identify two unique psychosocial characteristics of the AYA population.
4. Examine hematologic malignancies.
5. Identify common oncologic emergencies.


CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for 5.75 contact hours for nurses. Nurses should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. This activity is accredited for 5.75 contact hours for attendance at the entire CE session.
