TARGET AUDIENCE:
This activity teaches participants how to safely administer medications commonly utilized in the Telemetry environment, in addition to safe monitoring patients receiving the medications.

This activity is intended for employees of Hawai'i Pacific Health, including non-employees who have credentialing privileges within HPH.


OBJECTIVES:
1. Examine medications commonly prescribed and ordered to patients with cardiac or cardiovascular disease.
2. Identify the mechanism of action of these cardiac medications.


CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 2.5 contact hours for nurses.
