ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
This offering is intended to assist physicians, nurses and pharmacist to identify and treating factors that contribute to failure of healing wounds.
OBJECTIVES
1. Identify and seek appropriate treatment for wounds affected by PAD, excess necrotic, infected bioburden, spectrum of infection, edema, pressure associated injury, movement and malnutrition.
2. Apply appropriate dressings for wounds.
3. Understand that there are considerations for advanced modalities such as grafting, hyperbaric.
CONTINUING EDUCATION
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) for physicians and 1.0 contact hours for nurses.
