COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The program discusses the lessons learned from medical malpractice cases.


OBJECTIVES:
1.Summarize that policies and procedures, guidelines, and protocols do not define the standard of care.
2.Describe the importance of documentation of "differential diagnosis" in the assessment from a risk management perspective.
3.Recognize how the relationship between the patient and provider may impact how litigation may be impacted.
