Injury Prevention
Injuries are the leading cause of death for children in the United States. The good news is that most injuries can be stopped before they happen.
The Injury Prevention team at Kapiʻolani wants to help keep kids safe. Dedicated team members talk to people in the community and teach them how to avoid getting hurt. They also work with Kapiʻolani Trauma Services to help kids who get injured, no matter if it’s something small or something more serious.
By learning how to stay safe, we can all help make sure fewer kids have to go to the hospital because of injuries.
