Lab tests give your care team helpful information about your health so they can better understand what’s going on and choose the treatment plan that’s right for you.
We work with trusted labs that specialize in certain tests and have experienced doctors, scientists, and technicians, so you can feel confident that your results are accurate and reliable.

Care at Kapiʻolani

As Hawaiʻi’s only maternity, newborn, and pediatric specialty hospital, Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children has caring nurses and lab technicians who know how to work with even the youngest patients. This helps each patient feel more at ease and supports correct results.

Care at Pali Momi

Pali Momi Medical Center provides a full range of clinical laboratory and pathology services for the medical center and surrounding clinics.

Under the direction of board-certified pathologists, laboratory staff provide the following services:

    • Bood banking
    • Chemistry
    • Coagulation
    • Cytology
    • Hematology
    • Histology
    • Microbiology
    • Serology
    • Urinalysis

Our pathologists can also evaluate surgical biopsies and cytology smears.

Our laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and is Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) certified.

Care at Straub Benioff

Straub Benioff Medical Center's clinical laboratories provide a full range of services for both inpatients and outpatients at our medical center.

Lab services also are available at our neighborhood clinics in Hawaiʻi Kai, Kailua, Kāne‘ohe, Mililani, Pearlridge, and King Street. 

Under the direction of board-certified pathologists, laboratory staff provide the following services:

    • Bood banking
    • Chemistry
    • Coagulation
    • Cytology
    • Hematology
    • Histology
    • Microbiology
    • Serology
    • Urinalysis

Our pathologists can also evaluate of surgical biopsies, cytology smears, and autopsy slides.

Our laboratories are accredited by the College of American Pathologists and have federal Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) certification.

Care at Wilcox

Wilcox Health lab services include a full-service clinical and pathology lab at Wilcox Medical Center, including a draw station at the main Kauaʻi Medical Clinic in Līhuʻe.

Under the direction of board-certified pathologists, laboratory staff provide the following services:

    • Bood banking
    • Chemistry
    • Coagulation
    • Cytology
    • Hematology
    • Histology
    • Microbiology
    • Serology
    • Urinalysis

Our pathologists can also provide evaluation of surgical biopsies and cytology smears.

Our laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists and is Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) certified.

The clinical and pathology lab is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is located on the ground floor of Wilcox Medical Center, next to the Emergency Department.

The Kauaʻi Medical Clinic draw station is available for blood draws and specimen drop-off on the second floor of the main clinic.
