Dr. Justin Young is a team physician for the UH Manoa Athletics Department and a sports medicine physician at the Straub Bone & Joint Center. He joined Straub in 2013 and has enjoyed working with professional and recreational athletes of all ages. One of his clinical responsibilities includes caring for the student athletes at UH, including the football team. As he adores teaching, he is core faculty with the UH Sports Medicine Fellowship Program and, also, an assistant clinical professor of the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the John A. Burns School of Medicine at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. His research interests include Wilderness Medicine and finding ways to make sports safer. During his free time he enjoys hiking and kayaking.
