Hawaii Pacific Health (HPH) recently was named among Becker's Healthcare's 2024 list of 150-plus top places to work in health care.

HPH is the only health care system in the state to make the list.

According to the Becker's article, this list highlights hospitals, health systems and health care companies that "prioritize workplace excellence and the happiness, satisfaction, well-being and fulfillment of their employees."

When selecting organizations to include on the coveted list, Becker's noted the top employers offered the following:

  • Robust benefits packages.
  • Professional and personal development opportunities.
  • Diverse work environments.
  • Resources necessary for work-life balance.

Additionally, many of these companies have a deep impact on their communities, providing volunteer opportunities and emphasizing social responsibility.

HPH was noted as differentiating itself "from others through its status as a nonprofit organization, reinvesting all earnings back into medical equipment, facilities, research, education, training and charity care for the underserved. ... Team members also benefit from living and working in Hawaii, with over 70 care locations across the state. The system was named one of Forbes' America's Best Employers By State for 2023."

You can read more about what makes HPH one of the top places to work in health care on Becker's Hospital Review.

HPH appears under the "Hospitals and Health Systems" category, listed in alphabetical order.
