About this Location
The Dr. James T. Kakuda Cancer Center at Pali Momi Medical Center opened in 2017 as the first integrated cancer center of its kind serving Central and West Oʻahu.
Nationally accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, the center provides a full spectrum of cancer services in one centralized location.
Patients can receive care at a single facility close to home. This convenience is especially helpful for patients in active treatment, as it eliminates the need to travel to multiple locations or across long distances to keep up with rigorous schedules.
Centralized and Coordinated Care: The Care Team Model
As part of the Hawaiʻi Pacific Health Cancer Centers, Pali Momi provides coordinated, multidisciplinary cancer care. Dedicated care teams collaborate across specialties, resulting in more efficient care, better outcomes, and an improved patient experience – from diagnosis to survivorship.

Care Designed to Support Patients
Navigating the cancer care journey can be challenging and overwhelming, especially when faced with a new diagnosis. At Hawaiʻi Pacific Health, we believe patients should not have to face this journey alone.
Following diagnosis, patients are supported through our Patient Navigation Program and are assigned a dedicated navigation team that may include registered nurses, licensed social workers, and other specialized professionals.
Patients are also invited to attend cancer support groups with current patients, survivors, and their families.
Our Providers
As an added convenience, cancer specialists from across Hawaiʻi Pacific Health come together to see their patients at Pali Momi. This ensures patients have access to care teams consisting of experts who specialize in their specific type of cancer at a location close to home.
