Biography and Interests
Biography
Dr. Crawford is director of orthopaedic sports medicine at Straub and is former collegiate student athlete specializing in sports medicine and orthopaedic surgery. He enjoys being an orthopaedic surgeon for the University of Hawaii football team and working with high school and collegiate athletic departments here in Hawaii. He started the HOPE sports not-for-profit educational foundation. He is board certified and fellowship trained in sports medicine, arthroscopy and hip preservation surgery. He is also affiliated with the US Ski and Snowboard team hoping to win Olympic gold.
Professional Interests
Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery. Separate fellowship in hip preservation surgery. Performs advanced open and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, hip and knee. Areas of research in ACL reconstruction, hip arthroscopy and shoulder labrum injuries currently.
