Biography and Interests
Biography
Dr. Yamauchi is a pediatric cardiologist with a special interest in non-invasive imaging, who was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawai‘i. She completed a combined MD/MPH degree at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Yamauchi then completed a pediatric residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and a pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Utah, which included an additional year devoted to non-invasive imaging. Her current clinical interests include general pediatric cardiology, fetal cardiology, and other applications of cardiac non-invasive imaging. Dr. Yamauchi is also devoted to improving the diagnosis of congenital heart disease both fetally and postnatally, and incorporating accurate non-invasive imaging techniques through regional education, population research and quality improvement. She is honored to have the opportunity to care for pediatric and fetal patients in Hawai‘i.
