Biography and Interests
Biography
Dr. Lee Salvador Haruno is a fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic surgeon. He grew up in Mililani on the island of Oahu and graduated from Punahou School and the University of Notre Dame. After completing his medical training on the mainland, Dr. Haruno returned home to serve his local community.
His research interests include pediatric trauma and medical education and he has had the opportunity to contribute to numerous articles and publications. He also has conducted grant-funded research on improving diversity and representation in orthopedic surgery and enjoys opportunities for teaching and mentorship.
Dr. Haruno believes in a collaborative, team-based approach to health care. He is passionate about pediatric orthopedics and partnering with patients and their families in order to achieve their goals. While his specialty is in pediatric care, Dr. Haruno also is able to treat adults up to age 40 with fractures or lower extremity deformities.
Professional Interests
Orthopedic trauma and pediatric fracture care, lower extremity deformities and reconstruction, neuromuscular conditions, and foot and ankle care.
Personal Interests
Exploring the outdoors, traveling, hiking, paddle-boarding, watching college and professional football, and spending time with family.
