Biography and Interests
Biography
Dr. John Funai is interested in preventive cardiology and focuses on teaching patients about lifestyle factors that cause heart disease and how changes may be beneficial to their health. Dr. Funai was an associate professor of medicine and biomedical engineering and director of Non-Invasive Cardiology and Clinical Cardiology at the Medical College of Virginia. He is a manuscript reviewer for several professional journals and adviser to and member of several professional scientific societies. Dr. Funai has a strong appreication for opera and jazz, as well as the great American pasttime: baseball. When he's not furthering his study of physical and biological sciences, Dr. Funai can be found fly-fishing.
