Biography and Interests
Biography
Dr. Russell Woo is a nationally recognized pediatric surgeon who specializes in minimally invasive surgery for infants and children. He is a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Woo completed a residency in general surgery at Stanford University as well as research fellowships in surgical robotics and biotechnology innovation. He then completed his subspecialty fellowship training in pediatric surgery at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the USC Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Woo has been a practicing pediatric surgeon at Kapi’olani Medical Center for Women and Children since 2009, where he currently serves as the Chair of the Quality Council and Vice-Chair of Perioperative Services. He is also an active faculty member of the Department of Surgery at the University of Hawai‘i, John A. Burns School of Medicine where he serves as an Associate Professor of Surgery and the Associate Chair for Research.
