Biography and Interests
Biography
Dr. Christopher Tokin is a dual board-certified breast surgeon and plastic surgeon. He is one of the few surgeons in the country who specializes in both oncology and breast reconstruction and has a special interest in oncoplastic surgery and breast conservation.
Dr. Tokin was born and raised in Honolulu. A graduate of Punahou School, he completed his undergraduate degree, received his medical degree and finished two residencies as well as a fellowship on the mainland before returning home to Hawaii.
He has a busy breast oncology practice that touts high breast conservation rates and offers access to reconstruction when mastectomy is required. He actively participates in the education of both OB-GYN and general surgery residencies at the University of Hawaii, instructs an oncoplastic surgery course at the American College of Surgeons and is on the Oncoplastic Surgery Certification Task Force with the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
