Biography
Dr. Durkin is Section Chief for Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery Division of HPH Medical Group. He completed his residency in orthopedics at UCSF and went on to complete a fellowship in pediatric orthopedics at Scottish Rite Children’s Medical Center in Georgia. Dr. Durkin also received advanced training in hip preservation at Boston Children’s Hospital. He has a special interest in hip preservation in children, adolescents, and young adults, pediatric sports medicine, growth modulation and surgical correction of extremity deformity, and musculoskeletal trauma in children.
Personal Interests
Family, outrigger canoe paddling and sailing, surfing, snow skiing, and cycling.

MyChart is improving. Dr. Durkin and staff were great. Check in was easy. Xray was quick, hardly any wait.

Dr. Durkin with Bone and Joints was very personable and super nice... He drew a picture and explained every details of what was going on with my son's finger... This helped a lot... Now we have a better understanding of how his finger was affected by his injury... Mahalo, Dr. Durkin!

Great doctor who takes his time to answer any questions and concerns. Front desk doesn't prioritize the patients standing in front of them, and takes phone calls first. Patients that pay for parking should especially be prioritized before someone calling. Checking out took a lot longer than anticipated, and checking in wasn't much different.

When we first were recommended to this office we were told to wait for a call the following business day. We waited and didn't get a call. So we called all week through break and didn't get through or a call back. Finally when school was back in session they finally called back and we got an appointment that same day! Just want to let you know to please answer/call back patients in a timely matter. As my child had to miss the rest of the school day!
