Biography and Interests
Biography
Dr. Joseph Gary Dela Cruz is a graduate of Maryknoll School and Creighton University. He resides in Kaneohe with his wife, Michelle; their daughters, Mari and Katia; and puppy, Mila.
Dr. Dela Cruz works alongside his father, Dr. Edgar Dela Cruz, at their pediatric clinic in Kalihi. He is also an assistant clinical professor at the University of Hawaii at Manoa John A. Burns School of Medicine’s Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Dela Cruz is the vice president of the American Academy of Pediatrics Hawaii Chapter and currently heads the chapter’s new efforts to improve pediatric primary care to mental health access. He also serves as the assistant chair of the Department of Pediatrics at Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children.
