Biography and Interests
Biography
Dr. Dominic Chow completed his medical schooling in the East and then pursued his interest in both patient care and research to complete a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Yale Medical School. He subsequently studied Preventive Medicine at the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and worked as a short-term consultant under the Expanded Program for Immunization at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO). In 2000, Dr. Chow joined the faculty at the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine as an investigator at the Hawaii Center for AIDS. His research and academic interests include the complications of HIV-1 and antiretroviral therapy on the autonomic nervous system, cardiovascular system, glucose and liver metabolism.
