Hawai‘i Pacific Health Nurses Appear in Special Newspaper Features Statewide

Newspapers statewide – including the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, The Garden Island, West Hawaiʻi Today, and Hawaiʻi Tribune-Herald – honored the impact nurses make on patients and their community every day with commemorative inserts published in advance of National Nurses Week.
Featured throughout these special inserts are nurses from across the Hawaiʻi Pacific Health system, who speak to their favorite part of the nursing profession. Each medical center is also highlighted with an article to help provide added insight into the role nurses play in delivering high-quality care and extraordinary service to our patients and community.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser includes stories about Kapiʻolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Pali Momi Medical Center and Straub Benioff Medical Center. On Kauaʻi, The Garden Island features an additional story about Wilcox Medical Center.
Both editions also include honorary messages from Gov. Josh Green, MD, and Dennis Francis, president and publisher of Oʻahu Publications Inc., along with an article profiling the history of National Nurses Week.
Held each year between May 6 and 12, the weeklong observance provides the opportunity to celebrate the deeply meaningful work nurses provide across our medical centers, clinics, and care settings.
Whether just beginning their career, leading teams, or mentoring the next generation, our Hawaiʻi Pacific Health nurses play a critical role in providing care, comfort, and support during many of life's most significant and challenging experiences for our patients and their families. In every role they serve, our nurses demonstrate unwavering dedication and leadership on behalf of our patients.
