This 3 class series is designed to educate expectant new parents on how best to prepare for a newborn baby. Topics of discussion will include preparing for your baby, breastfeeding for expectant mothers, and your baby at birth. The class will also discuss general care and bathing, child safety and childproofing, child passenger safety, as well as Infant CPR.
Each class is taught by an experienced Childbirth Educator who tailors each class to make everyone’s experience a memorable one. These classes are designed to fulfill your mindful intellect as well as have an instructor nearby, to guide you through your practical skills.
In-Person Classes
Our classes are held at either Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children or Pali Momi Medical Center. Please note the location on the class registration below.
Infant CPR will be done as a hands-on exercise with your instructor per AHA guidelines. Classes are designed for our adult patients, and unfortunately we are not able to accommodate children in classes at this time. Thank you for your understanding by leaving your children in the care of family or friends while you attend your class.
Virtual Classes
Curbside book pick-up and Infant CPR Anytime Kit will take place at a scheduled date prior to the class located at the Bingham Street patient drop off area (one book/kit per couple per class series). Instructions for literature pick up and login will be provided to you through our Contact Center.
Our Virtual Infant Care will be held through a video conference call. While mobile devices are capable, please keep in mind that attending our class on a desktop computer or laptop will produce the best result.
