Our nationally recognized, highly trained doctors and staff are committed to providing top-quality, comprehensive, and well-coordinated cancer care for adults and children.
We want patients to benefit from the latest medical breakthroughs, so we participate in research and clinical trials. Our specialized cancer care means that patients can be treated at home in Hawaii, close to their network of family and friends.
We know that dealing with cancer is more than a medical issue. Our support programs help patients and families cope with the challenges of both the disease and the treatment.
Cancer Center at Pali Momi
Pali Momi is the first nationally accredited Cancer Treatment Program serving Central and West Oahu.
For patients in active treatment, Pali Momi provides excellent care right in the community, eliminating the burden of travelling to Honolulu for rigorous treatment schedules. The hospital’s nurses are specially trained in oncology care and includes nurses who have received national certification from the Oncology Nursing Society. The facility’s chemotherapy bays are an example of the team’s attention to patient comfort. Each bay is private and is equipped for patients to watch television, play DVD’s or listen to music.
Digestive Cancer Center
Hawaii’s first multi-disciplinary GI Cancer team was established in 2008 to provide its patients comprehensive, coordinated care. The team meets bi-weekly to consult on all gastrointestinal (GI) cancer cases seen at the hospital and evaluates treatment options for each. The collective expertise of our group results in improved patient outcomes. Patients are referred from around the state.
Women’s Cancer Care
The Pali Momi Women’s Center is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of gynecologic cancers (ovarian, endometrial, vulval and vaginal cancers) and breast cancer. The center aims to provide the highest level of women’s cancer care in Hawaii, where a woman’s support network of family and friends can be an integral part of the treatment and healing process.
Pali Momi supports a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach to cancer assessment and care, addressing all aspects of a woman’s treatment from her physical health to her mental and emotional well-being. In collaboration with the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii, the National Cancer Institute and other cooperative groups, the Women’s Center also offers patients the opportunity to participate in state-of-the-art clinical trials for the treatment of gynecological cancers.
