National Pancake Day returns to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals 02/13/2015

On Tuesday, March 3, 2015, National Pancake Day, Oahu IHOP restaurants will once again offer each guest a free short stack of their famous buttermilk pancakes. This family-friendly tradition aims to raise needed funds and awareness for Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children, Hawaii’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.

For every short stack of buttermilk pancakes served on National Pancake Day between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., IHOP guests are invited to make a voluntary donation to Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children. Since 2006, IHOP National Pancake Day has raised more than $10 million to provide life-saving treatment, programs and medical equipment for young patients — including keiki treated at Kapiolani Medical Center.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with IHOP again this year for National Pancake Day,” said Martha Smith, chief executive officer of Kapiolani Medical Center for Women & Children. “This initiative has a proven track record of success in raising contributions for and awareness about Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals like our own. The pairing of free pancakes with philanthropy is extremely popular and effective, year in and year out.”
