The COVID-19 pandemic has had a serious impact on many people, particularly people with certain medical conditions that put them at increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19. Cancer patients, their families and caregivers must take extra precautions to focus on safety during this time. Our panel of Hawaii Pacific Health physicians and nurses will share important information for those undergoing cancer treatment or recovering from cancer during COVID, and provide tips and resources for patients as well as those caring for or supporting family members or loved ones with cancer.
During this webinar, our health care providers will also discuss preventive care, including how to work with your primary care physician (PCP) to keep up-to-date on necessary cancer screenings. They will also review the comprehensive safety measures Hawaii Pacific Health has in place at our medical centers and clinics, and the variety of virtual care options available so patients can get the care they need from the comfort of home.
Key areas of discussion include:
- Cancer prevention and screening recommendations
- Cancer treatment during COVID
- Working with your cancer care team
Our experts will be available to answer questions from viewers immediately following the panel discussion.
