The purpose of the Cancer Conference is to improve the care of cancer patients within Pali Momi Medical Center. Cases may be selected for presentation based on complexity, unusual manifestation of the disease, or special interest. Case presentation can include the patient’s medical history, clinical findings, diagnostic studies, therapeutic modalities and research data.

Objectives:
1. Apply evidence-based methodology for treatment and follow up of recently diagnosed cancer to include AJCC TNM Staging.
2. Formulate diagnostic and therapeutic plans for common and complex malignancies including imaging for evaluation and surveillance.
3. Integrate familiarity with pathologic principles and diagnosis of malignancies into their practice.
4. Engage multidisciplinary cancer care team members in a patient-centered discussion addressing needs including palliative, psychosocial and rehabilitative care.

Continuing Education:
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Hawai‘i Pacific Health designates this live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit (s) ™ and 1.0 contact hour for nurses. This activity is also assigned the Universal Activity Number (UAN) 0587-0000-17-008-L04-P and is accredited for 1.0 hour for pharmacists.
