This offering is geared towards Primary Care PAs, NPs and PTs.
It's aim is to increase their understanding of how to manage conditions in the office, when to involve specialists and what the process is of determining when the athlete is ready to return to activities.

Objectives:
1. Discuss common sports medicine conditions in children and adolescents.
2. Identify signs to look for and how to provide immediate relief after injury.
3. Recognize when to refer the patient to a specialist.
4. Discuss how to rehabilitate the injury to return to activity and sports.
5. Recognize expectations for long-term outcomes from pediatric injury.




Continuing Education:
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
