This is FREE Virtual Presentation sponsored by the ONS Hawai'i ('Oahu) Chapter and Hawai'i Pacific Health (HPH) in celebration of Oncology Nurses Month.
The prolonged exposure to the trauma that accompanies the pandemic impacted our wholeness of character, both personally and professionally. While we continue to show up to care for our patients, families and each other, we bear the scars of our experience and we must tell our stories. Reflections on the urgencies that emerged due to the pandemic provide healthcare providers the opportunity to engage in the elements of resiliency, according to the APA. Namely, connection, wellness, health thinking and meaning. We will explore these elements together as we celebrate oncology nursing.
OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify positive outcomes from the pandemic.
2. Review life and work integration.
3. Create a plan to transform work through the lens of realistic optimism.
CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Hawai‘i Pacific Health (HPH) and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS™) Hawai‘i (O‘ahu) Chapter. Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
