OFFERING INFORMATION:
This highly engaging, interactive 2-day workshop is a broad-based, introductory-level instruction that teaches the foundations of basic OSHA-compliant ergonomics' assessments.


OBJECTIVES:
1. Identify where the body is susceptible to injuries and analyze the causes, signs and symptoms of musculoskeletal disorders.
2. Apply the OSHA ergonomics job-site analysis forms W-1, D-2 and WAC in performing multiple task ergonomics assessments.
3. Identify and apply effective methods for controlling risk factors.
4. Analyze and construct injury prevention strategies.
5. Design ergonomics problem solving solutions.
6. Examine successful marketing techniques for ergonomics programs.


CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Hawai‘i Pacific Health and The Back School. Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
