OFFERING INFORMATION:
A review of anticoagulation guidelines and current opportunities to improve in the reversal of anticoagulation.


OBJECTIVES:
1. Compare the bleeding risks among oral anticoagulants.
2. Differentiate between minor and major bleed and emphasize the need for anticoagulation reversal.
3. Implement relevant monitoring parameters for patients requiring reversal.
4. Apply the appropriate reversal agent and dosage for specific anticoagulants.
5. Manage the timing for restarting oral anticoagulation after a major bleed.
