Learning Objectives: At the end of the presentation, the participant should be able to:
1. Describe the latest neuroscientific explanations of substance use disorder pathophysiology
2. Assess patients/clients in recovery from Substance Use Disorders who display the clinical phenomenon of “cross-addiction.”
3. Draw from latest research on substance use disorder to employ interventions that impact the areas of the brain involved in SUD.
