This offering is for HPH care team members and affiliates involved in direct patient care of HPH cancer patients.


OBJECTIVES:
1. Review and discuss diagnostic studies and apply new procedures, technology, and treatments for cancer patients.
2. Implement treatment plans to optimize and improve outcomes.
3. Differentiate between diagnosis and follow-up modalities for various types of cancer.
4. Assess available clinical trials.
5. Describe accurate staging of cancer and national clinical guidelines used in staging.
6. Engage multidisciplinary team members in communication and roles and responsibilities in patient centered discussions addressing the care needs of the pediatric oncology population.


CONTINUING EDUCATION:
In support of improving patient care, Hawai‘i Pacific Health is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
