Caring for your breast health is one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy. Monthly self- exams and early detection with annual mammogram screenings is the best defense against breast cancer as mammography is the only screening method consistently proven to reduce deaths from breast cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends annual mammograms for all women starting at age 40 or younger if there is a history of breast cancer in your family.
Hawaii Pacific Health women’s centers and clinic locations provide the state-of-the-art digital mammography services that help doctors better identify suspicious tissue and reduce screening times, retakes and call-back appointments. We are proud to offer both traditional digital mammography (a two-dimensional photo is taken of your breast) and Tomosynthesis (a series of images from multiple angles are taken and converted into a three-dimensional image).
