Calling All Heroes
Hear that? That’s a call to action against breast cancer. If you’re ready to answer, schedule your mammogram at Hawaii Pacific Health today.
Not all heroes wear capes, but by taking action through preventive screenings, you’ll be joining millions of super-humans in the fight against breast cancer.
As a thank you, if you choose to have your mammogram with any Hawaii Pacific Health medical center this Breast Cancer Awareness Month of October, you’ll receive a special gift, while supplies last.
Be your own hero for health. Talk to your primary care physician about annual mammograms starting at age 40, or younger if there’s a history of breast cancer in your family.
Our advanced digital mammography services help doctors better identify suspicious tissue and reduce screening times, retakes and callback appointments. We offer both traditional digital mammography and tomosynthesis, in which a series of images are taken from multiple angles and converted into a three-dimensional image.
EARLY DETECTION FOR WOMEN AT HIGH RISK
We provide an intensive surveillance program to identify problems early in women who have a family history or a previous pre-cancer diagnosis that puts them at higher risk for breast cancer. This multidisciplinary program includes imaging services, physician and nursing services, genetic counseling and testing, nutritional and psychological counseling, education and research.
We also provide comprehensive survivorship programs that are integrated into your care at the time of diagnosis to help provide the support you need. It’s all part of our total, uncompromising commitment to the fight against breast cancer.
Caring for your health is one of the most important things you can do to stay healthy. Monthly self-exams and early detection through annual mammogram screenings is the best defense against breast cancer, as mammography is the only screening method consistently proven to reduce deaths from breast cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends annual mammograms for all women starting at age 40, or younger if there is a history of breast cancer in your family.
