Kapi'olani Behavioral Health Services

At Kapi‘olani Medical Center, we’re concerned about the total health care needs of our patients. In addition to their physical health, we recognize that their mental and emotional state can also enhance or hinder their treatment and recovery.

When every day challenges are heightened by a personal illness or an illness in the family, it can lead to significant anxiety, depression, or other difficulties. Kapi‘olani’s Behavioral Health Service (KBHS) can assist patients and their families in managing these concerns.

KBHS provides services designed to meet the behavioral health needs of inpatients and outpatients at the medical center, including children hospitalized for medical treatment or women receiving pregnancy care in our outpatient OB/GYN clinic.

Our highly-trained professional staff provides counseling for patients and families seeking assistance for a wide variety of problems that may affect their physical health. We can provide on-site psychiatric and psychological services for our patients, wherever they are needed in the medical center.
