The Bone & Joint Center at Straub is Hawaii's first multi-disciplinary center to provide comprehensive orthopedic, sports medicine and rheumatology services. Our team of orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, physiatrists, rheumatologists, rehab therapists and athletic trainers are here to provide you with the best health care experience in Hawaii.

The Bone & Joint Center is unique to Hawaii because of the close collaboration of physicians in these related specialties. Arthritic patients may require frequent visits to an orthopedic surgeon, rheumatologist or sports medicine physician as part of their total care. The Bone and Joint Center at Straub allows for this, all in one place and all at one time.

The new center also benefits athletes in the community. The center's sports medicine and orthopedic physicians participate with Hawaii schools to provide physician services during games and athletic events. By seeing a player incur the injury, the physician is better able to provide evaluation and treatment.

Located on the 3rd Floor of Straub's King Street Clinic (in the Makai building), the Bone & Joint Center offers patients the opportunity to receive comprehensive and coordinated health care for injuries and conditions of the joints and bones.

Straub's radiologists offer a wide range of services, from simple x-rays to complicated interventional radiological procedures. The department operates an MRI unit and a CT scanner. Certified X-ray units are also located at Straub's satellite clinic locations. We have the only fully certified occupational medicine film reader (B Reader) working out of the state of Hawaii. Straub's radiologists cover the full range of subspecialties within radiology. We have three fully trained interventional radiologists, each having earned a Certificate of Added Qualifications.

The Bone & Joint Center also maintains a soft tissue and bone bank for reconstructive surgery. Center physicians are experienced at performing arthroscopic surgery and treating sports-related injuries such as ligament, muscle or soft tissue injuries; fractures of the extremities and spine, and electrodiagnostic testing.
