Kapi'olani brings cancer care home to the Islands.

Bart Pillen, M.D.

The Kapi'olani Women's Cancer Center is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of gynecologic cancers, including ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulva, and vaginal cancers. The only center of its kind in the state, Kapi'olani strives to provide the highest level of women's cancer care in Hawaii, where a woman's support network of family and friends can be an integral part of the treatment and healing process.

The Women's Cancer Center supports a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to cancer assessment and care, addressing all aspects of a woman's treatment — from her physical health to her mental and emotional well-being. In addition, the Center offers patients the opportunity to participate in state-of-the-art clinical trials in collaboration with the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii and the National Cancer Institute.

Located on the sixth floor of Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children, the beautifully designed center provides a relaxing, tranquil setting for patients and their families. The Center's unique design includes a patient education resource area with a library, Internet access and informational videos for viewing. What's more, our chemotherapy bays feature beautiful views of Honolulu.
