Our multi-disciplinary teams comprise fellowship-trained pediatric orthopedic physicians, rheumatologists, physical therapists, nurses and other health care providers that specialize in treating children.
Kapi'olani is Hawaii's only designated pediatric center. It boasts the only emergency room with specialists trained in pediatric emergency medicine and the only Adolescent Unit for the treatment of teens. In addition, Kapi'olani Children's Specialty Center provides comprehensive care for children with complex medical conditions.

Kapi'olani also offers orthopedic rehabilitation therapies for children and adults. The collaborative effort of our staff and a highly integrated therapy program ensures that infants, children, adolescents and adults reach their full potential in mobility and daily living skills.
Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is situated between Punahou and Alexander streets, one block south of the H-1 Freeway. The parking garage can be accessed off of Bingham street. After parking, go to the Information Desk located in the lobby next to the Bingham Street entrance. One of our information assistants will be happy to provide you with directions.
Kapi'olani offers the latest in MRI and CT Scanner imaging technology. Our CT Scanner features one of the fastest rated industry scanning times, translating to improved patient comfort and enhanced imaging diagnostics.

Additionally, Kapi'olani is home to Hawaii's first fully integrated minimally invasive surgical suites (MIS). Because MIS techniques disturb less muscle tissue and fewer nerves, anesthesia time is reduced and patient recovery time and pain is diminished. Benefits also incude cosmetic enhancements due to the smaller incisions required for this surgical procedure.

The specialized suite, equipped with touch screen control panels, a sophisticated voice activation system and live video conferencing to other medical centers, allows Kapi'olani to provide the highest quality of healthcare service with the latest in surgical procedure technology.
