New health trend in Hawai'i: Nurse practitioners taking on greater role

JABSOM alumna Dr. Virginia Pressler (JABSOM 1982) has been named a Distinguished Alumni of the University of Hawai‘i. The UH Alumni Association will salute Dr. Pressler at its 2010 awards ceremony May 11. Dr. Pressler, who grew up on Maui, is Executive Vice President and Chief Strategic Officer of Hawai’i Pacific Health. In addition her MD from JABSOM, she also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, and an MBA and MS in physiology from UH Mānoa. Read the full newsletter
