Eight of every thousand children are born with a congenital heart defect. The Heart Centerat Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children offers the first and only pediatric interventional cardiac program in Hawaii.

The Heart Center, in partnership with UCLA Medical Center, utilizes a multidisciplinary team to care for young patients. Our pediatric interventional cardiologists use minimally invasive techniques for deployment of device closures for children with Arterial Septal Defects (ASD) and Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO).
