Pediatric Cardiology

Eight of every one thousand children are born with a congenital heart defect. The Heart Center at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children provides the only pediatric interventional cardiac program in the state of Hawai‘i.

Kapi'olani Medical Center, in partnership with Rady Children's Hospital, has a multidisciplinary team to care for young patients. Our pediatric interventional cardiologists use minimally invasive techniques to deploy device closures for children with Arterial Septal Defects (ASD) and Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO).
