Early detection is the key to surviving heart disease and preserving your quality of life. That's why we have developed the CardioVisit program. For 30 minutes and just $65, you can find out if you are at risk.
The assessment includes:
- Blood pressure check
- EKG (electrocardiogram) and a wallet-size card with the results
- Blood analysis to determine your total cholesterol, HDL ("good cholesterol"), and blood sugar levels (to detect diabetes, a major risk factor)
- Body fat analysis
- Individual counseling by a cardiac nurse and review of your EKG by a cardiologist
- A risk assessment that will show how likely you are to have or to develop heart disease in your lifetime
Taken separately, all of these screenings could cost up to several hundred dollars and require multiple visits to the doctor. Straub provides Cardiovisit, a comprehensive and affordable heart check-up that will alert you if you are at risk for heart disease.
The results are completely confidential. If your results indicate that you are at risk for developing heart disease, it will be recommended that you take preventive steps, such as modifying your diet (reduce saturated fat and sodium) and incorporating regular exercise into your daily routine, to prevent the disease from progressing.
For more serious results, additional testing such as a treadmill stress test may be recommended.
